Year 6 into the Kyle regime and the offense is still a work in progress.

What happened to roll-outs? Lance's best game is when he rolls out to the right. Didn't see any of those today. And the refs obviously had money on the Bears or are just plain shit balls. Yes there were still too many penalties but many of them were phantom calls. The weather and playing against both the Bears and the Refs made it a tough task.

Kyle isn’t actually very creative and his playcalling during games has always been mediocre at best.  He runs the same shit about 80% of the time.  Granted it’s only one game but the effort and coaching in this game was pathetic.

He refused to call the same plays that were working again...even with a wrinkle and he made zero adjustments at the half. The team is very un-discipled too, penalties killed them. Huf played great in the 1st half but the entire team played like shit in the 2nd half. The wide open TD to Fruity Pettis, that was on Huf. We lost the only decent RB we had, Wilson looks old, and Kyle choose to bench TDP and Gray. The OL looked horrible and the Bears didn't blitz once.

It's a shit show. Based on today alone, I would say Kyle is not a good HC.

That was a very winnable game and one that they could have used, things get way tougher come week 3.

@red-bluff agree RB.  Kyle gets confused and it shows with how he calls the game and his overall strategy.  The weather was horrendous and on top of that he has no clue whether he should play it conservative or let it rip at times.  Same issue with big games especially the super bowl and the falcons super bowl meltdown.  If this trend continues I think they need fire Kyle and promote Ryans and bring in an experienced OC.  I’d go so far as to say I think Kyle is a big reason why Jimmy has struggled so much.  When Jimmy plays in desperation situations he seems relaxed and plays well.  The rest of the time he’s overthinking everything like his head coach.

Kyle is in his 6th season now and the organization places a lot of faith in him and has been patient with him in the hopes he will become a great HC.  He who he is at this point.  It isn’t just a case of a week 1 overreaction.  I think Ryans or plenty of other guys would be better for this team.

The state of our OL is pathetic. We were so distracted by skill position drama that we forgot to take care of the basics. Fuck you Lynch.

The Seahawks with Gino Smith so far look better than our offense.

If we lose to the Seahawks at home, is Kyle on the hot seat?  Entirely possible since Pete is Kyle’s daddy.

@john

The way he was calling between the hatches slants make me question just how shitty a QB Jimmy is. Maybe it was Kyle pulling his strings the whole fucking time.

They should have not lost that game. Worse off, was the team as a whole showed no gravitus what so ever.

Glinchey just turn tail and ran toward the sidelines after he let Trey get trounced. WTF man?

It's almost like we're right back to "we ain't got no dogs" AGAIN.

All I know is Kyle better pull his fucking head out.

I also think his demeaner plays a part in the team being so fucking un-discipled. They had 12 penalties for 99 yards....that's a free TD in my book. WTF

The fucking Bears had 3 for 24 yards.

Mike McDaniel no longer here might be part of the reason Kyle lost it with his play calls in the second half. Whether or not that's the case, what we know for certain is that Kyle is completely gutless. We've seen it over and over since he got here, even while McDaniel was still here. Innovative but gutless. Bad combo.

Jed is equally gutless, so don't expect any changes if Kyle fucks up this season. He's not even a .500 coach into six seasons! Wake up everyone! Dazzled by his rap and play creation and killed by his play calling, game and player management. Case in point (one of many): Sitting Trey during the second preseason game!? WTF? Right Kyle, Trey doesn't need any work with all the game experience he has!

Mike Martz said Trey and Fields are both terrible.  Haha.  For Trey, he said he takes a long time to set his feet and his delivery is slow and inaccurate.  Said Trey isn’t even great at running, looks like a dumpy fullback.  Ouch.  I see some of what he’s saying though.

Seems like he should have been a 3rd round (or later) pick.  He’s also doomed because of Kyle’s ineptitude.
