Week Thirteen! SF vs MIA
Two minute warning. At this point, just escaping into halftime with a tie would be a good thing.
Speaking of which, Rams and SEA are about to hit halftime and it's 14-13 SEA. If the Rams can somehow knock off SEA that would be doing us a HUGE favor.
WHEW! Jennings fumbled the reception but it went out of bounds so we maintain. We're in long FG range now...and another DPI penalty on Miami. We need all the help we can get.
McCaffrey is such a crazy weapon for us. Four plays in a row targeted to him and TOUCHDOWN! Niners 17-10 going into the half. We needed that badly.
Opening drive of the second half ends with a big sack. I rewatched some of the first half during halftime; the Phins D is doing a lot of blitzing and they're clearly picking on Glitchey. We need to get rid of him so damn bad.
Dumb special teams penalty on the punt gives the Phins good field position. Let's go D, you've got a lead to protect.
Deep ball plus a roughing penalty puts the Phins instantly in scoring position. Jesus fucking Christ.
And then, two offensive penalties put the Phins out of FG range. Comedy of errors.
INT JIMMIE WARD!
4th and 1 almost at their red zone. Take the FG and make it two scores or go for it. OMG.
Purdy sneaks! First down!
Meh. Stalled after the sneak and ended up taking the FG anyway. Two score game. 20-10 us.
Right off the bat, INT LENOIR! Great field position for us. We're definitely in Tua's head, I think.
Another FG. Still only two scores.
Wow. Tua bomb to Tyreek for the TD and Ebukam hurt. Less than optimal. 23-17 us.
Hill is amazing. His ability to get open is unreal.
Jimmy hurt again. No surprise.
Grant says the team is considering offering Jimmy a contract extension. Word is a Kirk Cousins type deal. 3 years $90 million. I hope not. I hope Purdy or Trey take the reins next year.
Challenged completion results in a turnover on downs! We get the ball back, and we CANNOT afford to lose it again since they only need a TD to tie and extra to win.
OK, that FG lets us breathe again. Whew. 26-17 Niners.
